The Tri-Mode Component Cooler is designed to boost existing (but insufficient) ventilation for audio and video components. While cooling the hot component below it, it provides a shelf onto which a small heat-sensitive item can be placed. It’s an “active heat shield”. Easily reconfigured, it can be placed beneath a component with bottom panel vent openings.
A third configuration turns it into an effective cooler for small digital media extenders which can fit beneath the Tri-mode.
In all configurations, the fan operates continuously at an moderate speed, generating very little noise. If desired, an optional thermal switch accessory can be used to turn the fan on and off as temperature rises and falls.
Not for use in sealed enclosures; works best in areas with restricted (but not zero) ventilation.
