The UA820 and UA8 antennas are identical; however, the UA8 has three detents: 0 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees.
A common question: Will a UA8 antenna work outside of the stated frequency range? The answer is "Yes, but the antenna will be less efficient." As a general rule, a UA8 antenna should work OK up to 30 MHz below/above the stated range. But again, this is a general rule; there will be exceptions where working outside of the stated range will not provide satisfactory performance. Bottom line: Try it and note the results.
