Information Regarding Essential Business Operations

Our thoughts are with you as we navigate the unprecedented challenges presented by the COVID-19 outbreak. Over the past few days, we have received inquiries regarding how dealers should respond to recent government restrictions, such as the shelter-in-place orders implemented in California and proposed in other states. In response, we would like to share our perspective on the topic of essential business operations.

Together, our industry provides products, services, and technologies that are essential in our communities. We know many of you provide critical support to essential businesses that deliver food, shelter, medical care, financial support and social services. Your services enable people to work from home while also supporting the safety and essential operation of residences in your communities – including networking, power, infrastructure, home security, lighting, and control. COVID-19 has caused dramatic and sudden changes to all our lives, including required social distancing and quarantine measures, but we understand that each of you may need to continue supporting your customers through the essential operations you perform.

We understand that many non-essential providers are being asked to stop services at this time. Given the critical nature of the support you provide, we anticipate many of you will be considered essential services and will be expected to continue operating. Only you and your legal counsel can determine whether you meet local guidelines for what is considered an essential business. Rest assured, we are working hard to ensure that our products continue to be available when you need them. Our fulfillment and local distribution centers are employing enhanced public health protocols including additional sanitization, social distancing measures, and easier access to shipping.

We will continue to monitor this ever-changing situation and provide updates as more information becomes available. We are grateful for your dedication and partnership. We will stand with you to face these challenges and continue to support you as you provide essential products and services to our shared customers.

March 23

Distribution Center Will-Call Suspension

Over the last several weeks, we have been closely monitoring the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and have decided to suspend all will-call orders to global SnapAV and Control4 distribution centers starting Monday, March 23rd.

This was a difficult decision, but we believe it is the best way to continue supporting our global shipping efforts, while ensuring the health and safety of our employees and you.

Although this goes into effect Monday, we will allow you until business close on Wednesday, March 25th to pick up existing orders. Once this deadline passes, we will ground ship any orders to your address on file.

During this suspension, you will also no longer be able to drop off RMAs or return products at distribution centers. These will need to be shipped to the appropriate return facility or taken to a SnapAV local storefront if it’s for a SnapAV product.

Please note that this will-call change only applies to SnapAV and Control4 fulfillment centers. SnapAV local stores in the US, such as Allnet, Volutone, CPD, and MRI will operate as normal, and have put additional safety precautions in place for you.

SnapAV and Control4 continue to have inventory to fulfill most orders.

We are closely monitoring the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in an effort to anticipate and avoid any disruption in our ability to serve you. While COVID-19 is affecting product and component manufacturing in China, we are not currently experiencing significant supply chain constraints that would impact your orders. You can check our product pages at any time to view real-time stock status. We will continue monitoring this situation closely and inform you if we begin to experience significant inventory disruptions.

We want to assure you that we are committed to maintaining the service and support you expect from us while ensuring the health and safety of our global employees. We are temporarily limiting non-essential business travel and putting plans in place to support remote work if that becomes a necessity.
