DKG Deck Grommet provides safe, economical access to line-voltage power in outdoor raised deck applications. Installed quickly and easily in wood or composite decking with just a jigsaw and a Phillips head screwdriver, it allows the homeowner to access their outdoor-rated extension cord that runs beneath the deck from an outdoor power outlet to the deck grommet. Rugged, gasket-less construction safely secures the electrical connection just below the deck surface while keeping out rain, snow, ice and debris- even while in use. The DKG has a durable, shrouded cover that protects an outdoor extension cord from impact and weather-related damage in raised deck applications. The compact design saves space and is easily concealed for decorating purposes. The unique cover assembly allows the cord to exit while maintaining NEMA 3R integrity to protect against falling rain, sleet and external ice formation when used with an appropriate outdoor-rated extension cord. The Snap-in cover assembly reduces installation time and makes it easy to secure an outdoor-rated extension cord. This deck grommet has a black standard finish that can easily be painted to match any home décor. It's supplied with mounting screws for fastening to the deck and a strain relief clamp with screws for securing an outdoor-rated extension cord. The Red Dot DSK is ideal for providing power to: Laptops, audio systems, decorative lighting, small kitchen appliances, fans, water fountain pumps, lawn equipment and holiday lighting.
