This is a high-capacity backup battery for the DSC 9047 and DSC Impassa wireless alarm systems. This battery is good for those that want more backup power just in case the electricity goes down. This battery is also required for the 9047 or the Impassa if you have a GSM in the system. The regular DSC SCWBATTERY cannot maintain consistent enough power to keep the alarm system working and provide power for an internal GSM cellular communicator that draws its power from the main system itself.
