EARTHQUAKE RK-EC6 ROUGH IN KIT FOR ECS6.5 AND ECS6D PR
New housing starts are at the highest level in a long time. Installers who are working with homebuilders have a growing selection of new construction A/V solutions, including Earthquake Sound‘s new line of Edgeless Ceiling Speakers.
Bolstering the installer friendliness of the Edgeless Ceiling Speakers is Earthquake’s new RK-EC6 and RK-EC8 rough-in kits that are designed to facilitate the installation of the company’s latest architectural loudspeakers.
Engineered to fit the speaker line’s 6-inch and 8-inch models, the rough-in kits are said to improve the installation process by enabling installers to install the speakers without the traditional hassles associated with in-wall and in-ceiling speakers.
Earthquake says the rough-in kits feature extended aluminum snap-on dog-ears and rough-in rings. The company says the dog-ear pieces can be stapled, nailed or screwed into ceiling joists to provide stability within minutes. The additional benefit of rough-in kits for installers working in new construction environments is the fact that they allow sheetrock installers to spot the locations for in-ceiling speakers easily.
