The MRX-4IR is an elegant little solution for places you don’t want to run Cat5, use a separate remote, or where it doesn’t make sense to add an Advanced MRX Network Controller (such as the MRX-1). Communicating over a network using Wi-Fi or a wired LAN connection, the MRX-4IR receives commands from the System Controller and relays them, via IR, to other devices in the system.
It features four IR flasher outputs and a powerful front IR blaster. One classic application is controlling the TV in the kitchen where there is no room for a larger box or you can't run a cable for the emitter. Or use it to control ceiling-mount projectors, or flat panel TVs over the fireplace. Plus, its small size allows it to fit into places where a traditional base station would not.
The MRX-4IR can also be installed independent of Total Control and operated by an MX-5000, MX-6000, KP-4000C, or CCP's CC Control Applications which include the MX-iOS and MX-Android Applications. (which are not compatible with Total Control).
