URC’s Total Control system now offers a faster gateway into a whole universe of Z-Wave products. The TRF-ZW2 Wi-Fi enabled Z-Wave® gateway provides advanced features in a smaller, faster form factor with the addition of a new modern user interface and Wi-Fi connectivity. You can instantly enjoy automation of your home’s lighting, door locks, motorized shades/blinds, motion detectors, thermostats and any device bearing the Z-Wave logo over your home network. Plus, with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), you can count on connecting each wireless Z-Wave product to the TRF-ZW2 securely.
Using URC’s handheld remotes or brilliant in-wall touchscreens, you can securely lock and unlock the doors or adjust lighting while at home. Or, using your iPad or iPhone, you can check on things and adjust them from afar. It’s the ideal solution for true access control. Just imagine the peace of mind you’ll experience knowing when the kids arrive home after school or receiving a text when the pet sitter has entered while you’re on vacation.
The TRF-ZW2’s new, modern graphic user interface streamlines programming and general control of Z-Wave devices for custom installers and users alike. It includes an account wizard designed specifically for consumers to set up how they wish to manage their account and change lighting scenes. And all custom installers will enjoy access to specific programming for URC’s Vivido® lighting line including device parameters, EZ Association (which makes grouping Z-Wave devices easier) and more.

TRF-ZW2 Two-way Communication
URC two-way communication modules with specific Z-Wave-enabled products are added in an ongoing way. To find out if a specific model or category of products is compatible using two-way control, please check with your URC Product Specialist, Salesperson or Tech Support. Not compatible with URC’s Complete Control™ (one-way IR/RF) product line.
A Notice About Third Party ZW2 Plugins
The TRF-ZW2 offers a selection of plugins for 3rd party modules. These plugins are developed by other users and are not supported by URC; furthermore, prior to troubleshooting any potential issues with Z-Wave control, URC Technical Support will ask that any/all of these modules are removed prior to troubleshooting. Some of these modules have been documented to cause issues with the TRF-ZW2 and the Total Control system - use at your own risk!
