In addition to having a similar appearance, the DVD-S661 is designed for easy operation with Yamaha AV receivers that have the SCENE, such as the RX-V661. A Remote Power On function can be used by connecting the Remote Input of the DVD-S661 to the Remote Output of the RX-V661. Playback of an inserted DVD can be started simply by pushing the SCENE button on the receiver.
