Imagine three people, each in a different room of the same house, each enjoying their favorite songs, and each accessing the same digital music library — simultaneously. That's what it's like to use Yamaha's MusicCAST home music network system.  With the MCX-2000 digital music server, you can connect up to fifteen clients, including up to five wireless clients, so you can select and listen to music from virtually any room in your house.
The server's 160GB hard drive can store up to 200 hours of uncompressed audio, or over 83 days of MP3s. You can also play back music files stored on your PC. The MCX-2000 comes with a built-in FM tuner, and also plays Internet radio stations. Add an XM Satellite Radio subscription and an optional XM Mini-Tuner package, and you're ready to tune in your favorite XM channels through the server.
It's easy to manage your music with the MCX-2000. As you load tracks from your CDs, song title, artist, album, and other information is automatically entered through an Internet database. You can create your own playlists to enjoy through the MusicCAST clients in your house, or use the server's CD drive to burn them to disc for on-the-go-enjoyment.
The MCX-2000 transmits streaming music to Yamaha MusicCAST clients such as the MCX-A10 wireless and the MCX-C15 in-wall units.
