HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE A SAFEWARE WARRANTY?
You have 60 Days from the time you purchase the TV to purchase and register.
ONCE I HAVE PURCHASED THE WARRANTY FROM VOLUTONE HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO ACTIVATE THE WARRANTY?
You have 90 Days from the time you purchase the Safeware Warranty card to activate through the registration process online.
CAN I RETURN AN UNUSED WARRANTY BACK TO VOLUTONE FOR CREDIT?
You can return an unused warranty back to Volutone within 90 days from purchase for credit back on your dealer account.
Volutone will have to verify with Safeware that
the warranty has not been activated first. Allow 1-3 business days for confirmation.
CAN I USE A SAFEWARE WARRANTY FOR A RESTAURANT, BAR, GYM OR OTHER COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS?
You can as long as the TV has at least an 8 hr rest period within a 24 hour time frame. (per day)
CAN I ADD A SAFEWARE WARRANTY ON A TV NOT PURCHASED FROM VOLUTONE?
Yes. You need to purchase the SAFEWARE warranty within 60 Days of purchase from other location.
CAN A DEALER BE ON THE SAFEWARE CALL LIST ONCE THEY SELL A WARRANTY?
Yes, a self-servicing dealer must complete a Service Agreement in order to be authorized to complete a repair claim.
LEAD-TIME FOR THE REPAIR OR SENDING OUT A TECHNICIAN?
Typically 48 hours to schedule the appointment with the customer. This includes setting up service & confirming the appointment.
RENEWABLE AND TRANSFERABLE?
The contracts are currently not renewable, but they are transferable.
TV CUTOFF SIZE FOR IN-HOME SERVICE?
The Safeware warranty program mirrors the manufacturer’s warranty.
If MFR is in-home, then we are in-home, etc.
PROJECTOR BULB AND BATTERY REPLACEMENT; ONE TIME REPLACEMENT?
Lamp and battery replacement is not part of the program.
REMOTE CONTROL EXTENDED WARRANTY?
No.
IS THERE A VIEWABLE LIST OF AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTERS?
We can provide a list of current authorized providers based on customer base and geographical location.
24/7/365 CALL SUPPORT?
We receive calls during normal business hours and record calls for next morning call-back after normal business hours.
CALIFORNIA LAW REQUIRES PARTS TO BE AVAILABLE FOR 7 YEARS. IF THE PART CANNOT BE LOCATED WITHIN A
REASONABLE TIME (WHAT IS THAT TIME) WILL SAFEWARE REPLACE THE UNIT AT EQUAL OR LESSER VALUE?
Depending on the type of unit we typically use 60 – 90 days as a standard. We also will take into consideration customer
Expectation when making this determination.
WILL SAFEWARE PURCHASE THE ITEM TO BE REPLACED AT VOLUTONE?
Yes, we will give Volutone the first opportunity to replace the product.
IS SALES TAX INCLUDED WITH THE WARRANTY?
No. However, it should be calculated and collected as part of the product sale up front. Safeware does not collect sales tax.
Tax laws vary on this topic by state as it relates to warranty and service.
IF THE PRODUCT IS STOLEN CAN THE WARRANTY BE TRANSFERRED TO THE NEW PRODUCT?
No, a new warranty must be purchased.
