The C-Series multiroom system offers advanced features that make enjoying your musical experience even easier. Party Mode allows you to control the music and volume in every zone from one zone using a shared source. Source Linking connects multiple zones to the same source while allowing independent volume and on/off control, for when you want your music to follow you throughout your home. Zone Linking provides control of multiple zones by one or more keypads, perfect for open concept homes.

The C-Series system is designed for integration, with Home Theater triggers, routed and common IR outputs, 12VDC trigger outputs, an optional system wide paging capability for intercom and telephone systems, and an RS-232 port for connection to home integration systems. When combined with Russound's VM1 Video Matrix, the C-Series system allows you to share High Definition video sources within any multiroom system zone.

Featuring a system wide clock with alarm and sleep timer functions for individual zones, the C-Series system can provide the time, wake you to music, and help you delay your day, all with your favorite music.

The MCA-C5 system provides increased coverage by delivering eight sources to eight zones. The MCA-C3 is provides perfect coverage for smaller homes with six-source, six-zone. And both controllers are scalable up to 6 controllers.

C-Series Multizone Controller Amplifier MCA-C5

The MCA-C5 Multizone Controller Amplifier provides eight zones of distributed stereo audio from any of eight sources. The source loop outputs and the addition of up to five additional controllers allow for scalability to 48 zones. A variety of input options have been engineered into the MCA-C5 controller. A built-in internal AM/FM tuner with RDS (Radio Data System) support is optional as source one. An RNET® link using CAT-5e allows for metadata transmission and control of Russound RNET Smart Source components, including the SMS3 Smart Media Server, iBridge® Dock and Bay, and ST2 Tuners with AM/FM and/or satellite radio.

The MCA-C5 features digital amplifiers providing 40 watts of power per channel to zones one through six. All zones are equipped with fixed or variable line-level outputs for outboard amplification or subzone use. The MCA-C5 has a front USB port for programming ease and a rear RS-232 port for integration with home automation systems.

Custom audio settings, Party Mode, Do Not Disturb, source and zone linking, and All On/Off participation are standard features. Incorporated in the MCA-C5 is a system clock with an alarms and sleep timers, Home Theater trigger, routed and common IR outputs, and eight 12VDC trigger outputs. Source eight can serve as a paging input and loop output for connection to a third party paging or phone system.

With MDK-C5 Multiline Display Keypad or Russound UNO-TS2 touchscreens, the MCA-C5 communicates from its built-in tuner and other Russound Smart sources vital information such as preset name, AM/FM station frequency, satellite radio station ID, artist, and song title.

Configuration of the MCA-C5 Multizone Controller Amplifier requires a pc loaded with Russound SCS-C5 Configuration Software. This free software is available for download at our online Support Center.

C-Series Multi-line Display Keypad MDK-C5

The MDK-C5 Multiline Display Keypad is a wall-mounted, standard fit, double-gang keypad for C-Series Controller Amplifiers. The keypad's gray scale LCD screen displays real-time information including playlist, channel, artist, song title, genre and more when used with Russound Smart Sources. Responsive hard buttons offer access to virtually every system feature and source control function. The buttons and screen brightness are adjustable and can be dimmed at the owner's discretion.

C-Series Remote Control SRC-C5

The SRC-C5 is Russound’s advanced learning remote control for C-5 multiroom systems. It works with Russound’s MCA-C5 systems, as well as with the MDK-C5 keypad. It also controls up to eight connected audio-video sources and up to three local devices such as a TV or home theater receiver.

With backlit keys—ideal for home theaters—and favorite keys to quickly access music, the SRC-C5 is an attractive option for system control. Page Up and Page Down keys along with standard cursor keys support on-screen menu navigation. A Disc key enables direct selection of discs in CD or DVD changers. Discrete source keys allow selection of sources on the Russound system without scrolling through a list. The Sleep button allows control of the MCA-C5 system’s sleep timer function.

The SRC-C5 includes a large library of IR device codes—compatible with most manufacturers’ products—for simplified system setup. It also has command learning capability for other devices and unique functions.

The remote comes in a silver finish with a sleek ergonomic design and widely spaced keys for comfort and ease of use. A rubberized coating on the back offers a secure grip and a softer feel.
