4 Zone Multi-channel Wireless Transmitter

The Russound X1 Professional Wireless Audio Platform is designed for multi-room audio applications. The X1-TX8 is a 4 zone wireless audio transmitter that lets you connect your audio system to speakers in another location without long runs of speaker wire. With the required wireless receivers (X1-RX2 or X1-RX220, sold separately), the X1 system is ideal for distributed audio systems, rear speakers for home theaters, subwoofers, and any retrofit applications where installing speaker wire is labor intensive and cost prohibitive.

Simple to setup and install, each X1-TX8 features four stereo inputs (three line level and one selectable between line-in or optical digital), and there’s no limit to the number of receivers that can be wirelessly connected to each zone, providing plenty of opportunity to expand your system.

With a range of 30 meters (100 feet), the X1-TX8 features sophisticated wireless broadcast capabilities, with 2.4, 5.2, and 5.8 GHz operation and both channel-hopping and fixed-channel capabilities. Though it operates in the same spectrum as WiFi, the X1-TX8 isn’t a WiFi product—it uses a proprietary digital wireless signal that provides a more reliable, lower latency connection between the transmitter and receivers.

All of the new X1 products feature the same ultra-small footprint and weigh less than a pound apiece. The included versatile mounting bracket makes it easy to install in out-of-sight locations for a clutter-free living environment. And when combined with a Russound C-Series Multi-zone Controller Amplifier, the X1-TX8 wirelessly expands one of the most robust and intuitive app controlled multi-room audio systems in the industry.
